AGILITY TRIAL 'FUN'DRAISER!

sun. MAY 30TH

**All teams MUST pre-register to participate**
The Animals' House is proud to bring back the Dog Agility Trial 'Fun'draiser!

This fundraiser will loosely follow the format of an agility trial, but with some important differences.  This event will offer three different classes, and is appropriate for anyone that has completed at least a beginners (our Level 1) obedience course.  The classes are as follows:

The 'Open' class will run from 9:30am to 10:30am (walk thru at 9:15), and is meant for teams who have completed at least an intermediate agility course (our Level 2).  It will consist of a course of approximately 16 obstacles, and will contain jumps, tunnel, chute, dog walk, A-frame, tire jump, teeter, and weave poles.  The dogs are not allowed to be on leash for this course (a collar - flat only - will be permitted).  No treats or rewards are allowed on the course.  Standard scoring method will be used - faults will be given for missed contacts, knocked jump bars, being off-course, or incomplete weaves.  The competitor with the fewest total penalties is the winner; in the event of a tie, the competitor with the fastest time is the winner,  Ribbons through 3rd place will be awarded.

The 'Gambler' class will run from 10:45am to noon (walk thru at 10:30), and is open to all teams who have completed a beginners (our Level 1) course.  Dogs are allowed to wear a flat collar and a tab leash if needed (tab leashes will be provided).  Handlers are allowed to have treats on the course, but only in a pouch or bag that is able to be secured shut.  Gamblers is a point-basis class wherein handlers develop their own strategy for running a course in order to accumulate as many points as possible during the time allotted by the judge.  Each obstacle will be assigned a certain point value, so the teams can make up their own course to accumulate as many points as possible in a two minute time frame.  Ribbons through 3rd place will be awarded.

The 'Starters' class will run from 12:30pm to 2pm (walk thru at 12:15pm), and is open to all teams who have completed a beginners (our Level 1) course.  Dogs are allowed to wear a flat collar and a tab leash if needed (tab leashes will be provided).  Handlers are allowed to have treats on the course, but only in a pouch or bag that is able to be secured shut.  It will be a course consisting of approximately 16 obstacles, and will contain jumps, tunnel, chute, dog walk, A-frame, tire jump, teeter, and weave poles.

Each run will be a $20 fee, and you may enter more than one class.  Number of entry's are limited, but you are allowed to enter each class up to three times.  All entry fees will go directly to Heeling House, Inc. to support the animal assisted therapy programs in our area.

All teams must pre register (below), and registration will close at noon on May 29th.
